The Beach

What do you do after a double wedding??? How do you wake up on Sunday, between the left over wedding cakes, the mounds of presents, the high heels and tux vests.... and go on with life?? Well, we packed up and went to the beach!! Mommo so generously rented us a beautiful house and we enjoyed a perfect, relaxing week together.

Monday morning Charlie, Chaz, Kat, Mom, Dad, and John, got up bright and early to go deep sea fishing.  They caught a ton of fish and we enjoyed it for dinner that night!

Chance and I were up bright and early too, but we decided to hang around the house and then hit the beach with the rest of the crew.  I was anxious to see how Chance would like the sand.  I was fully prepared for him to hate it, but my child could not have been happier!  The more sand on him the better!

The house was great because it was right on the beach and it had a pool.  We also had a big tent and chairs set up so we all enjoyed easily going between beach, house, and pool, all week!

One night we had a delicious shrimp boil...yummm!!  Chance even had a few bites of the corn and potatoes.

Now when I go to the beach, I could sit in my chair with a book/magazine and not move all day.  John likes to play beach games, go in the ocean, etc. and the great thing about being with so many people is he had lots of "playmates"!  Not only did John have people to play volleyball with, but Chance had more people than he knew what to do with!  Whether we were inside or out, Chance always had the attention of many and this allowed me to have many (well-enjoyed) breaks!

We had a great week at the beach.  The perfect way to unwind after the wedding.  So glad that I can call Chance a "beach baby"!!  Now, for our family pics....

Our crew left on Saturday morning headed back to Meridian, while John and I stayed an extra day with our friends Ben and Carra.  It was great to see them and to have one more night to ourselves before heading back to Boston.
